How to use QVR Guard



Induction

QVR Guard is a high-availability failover management app for protecting QVR Pro from system failure and ensure uninterruptible surveillance recordings. QVR Guard features failover functionality that automatically takes over recording tasks from a QVR Pro server if an unexpected system fault or hardware failure occurs (each NAS running QVR Guard can serve as a failover server for one NAS running QVR Pro). Recording files are saved on the QVR Guard NAS until the QVR Pro system reboots and functions normally. QVR Guard provides dependable redundancy for QVR Pro, ensuring uninterrupted surveillance recordings.






STEP
  1. Before you start
  • Make sure install QVR Guard on the same NAS model as QVR Pro,or on a more power NAS model. 
  1. Install QVR Guard Qpkg and Start QVR Guard.
  2. Follow the guideline to set up your QVR Guard. Then click “Add Recording Space”


  1. Click the icon. To add Recording Space.



  1. Specify the ‘Estimated Allocated Size’,

  1. Recording Space set up complete
  1. Add QVR Pro Server
  1. Entering Server IP,User Nane and Password
  1. Complete
