[Important Notes]
- QVR Pro 1.3.0 checks the RAID configuration of recording storage during the initial setup. The minimum required RAID level is RAID 1. If only one SSD is used as the system volume, the initial setup cannot be completed.
[New Features]
- Added support for creating recording backup tasks.
- Added support for specifying the maximum duration of a single recording in Recording File Explorer.
- Added support for the capture mode in Camera Settings.
- Added support for image rotation in Camera Settings.
- QVR Pro now uses Recording File Explorer to access recordings by default.
- Added support for audio recording for generic RTSP models.
- Camera Package now provides version information and a user interface.
- Added support for connecting to multiple analog cameras via a single ONVIF video encoder (video server).
- Added support for code signing to QVR Pro and Camera Package.
- Start to detect the SSDs for the RAID configuration. if only single SSD is used as the system volume, QVR Pro will block the start procedure. Need to prepare SSDs for at least a RAID 1 configuration for the QVR Pro recording system.
[Enhancements]
- The date and time format in QVR Pro is now consistent with the format in QTS.
[Fixed Issues]
- The message "Re-launched process" would appear repeatedly in the System Logs.
- Users could not import recording data from QVR Pro to QVR Guard.
- Camera channels would not accept passwords that contained certain characters.
- CPU usage would increase abnormally when multiple cameras were connected.
- QVR Pro could not attach event snapshots to notification emails when a certain stream was not selected.
- QVR Pro would temporarily stop recording when users connected the NAS to the Mac via Thunderbolt.
- Fixed an issue that occurred when users added a new HTTP URL to a generic RTSP camera.
- Users could not restart QVR Pro when QTS restarted with new applications installed.
[Other Changes]
- Starting from QVR Pro 1.3.0, all event rule names must be unique.
Before you to install QVR Pro 1.3.0 beta, please be aware of:
1. QVR Pro needs Container Station, if you never install QVR Pro, please install Container Station first.
2. Please do not use the beta version at your official environment.
3. Please report the issue at https://service.qnap.com/en/user/create-ticket while you discover the abnormal situation, and attach the ticket number to here.

1.3.0 Major Feature
- Start to provide multiple Recording Backup at Recording Storage, in terms of channels, scheduling, or to remote storage devices...etc.
- Able to set the maximum recording length of a single file in the Recording File Explorer.
- Able to set the capture mode in the Camera Settings of the QVR Pro.
- Able to make camera rotation in the Camera Settings of the QVR Pro.
- The default setting of “Use Recording File Explorer to access recordings” has become “on”
- Generic RTSP models support audio recording.
1.3.0 Change
The name of each rule created, since QVR Pro 1.3.0, needs to be unique.
The format of Dates in several places, such as Event Management, Motion Detection, and Metadata Vault, will be the same as the format of the QTS.
